It is with heartfelt love and appreciation that I welcome you to this Founder’s Celebration and Seventy-Fourth year on this side of the cross. God has been so good to me and this ministry. The enemy came at us hard with everything he had and yet we survived the storm.
It is because of God’s grace and mercy that we celebrate with joy and excitement. The “monitoring spirit” was assigned to me and this ministry and he tried to steal, kill, and destroy the hopes and promises of God. He studied our every move, our every plan and tried to maneuver the source of our strength. As with Samson and Delilah, when he celebrated our demise, our hair had started growing back. As our hair grew back so did our strength.
Judges 16:6–8: As Delilah said to Samson, “Tell me the secret of your great strength and how you can be tied up and subdued,” Samson answered her, “If anyone ties me with seven fresh bowstrings that have not been dried, I’ll become as weak as any other man.”
Then the rulers of the Philistines brought her seven fresh bowstrings that had not been dried, and she bound him with them.Now, there were men lying in wait, hiding with her in the inner chamber. But he snapped the bowstrings as a thread of flax snaps when it touches the fire.
So, his strength was not known. And Delilah said unto Samson, “Behold, thou hast mocked me and told me lies; now tell me I pray thee, wherewith thou mightiest be bound.” And he said unto her, “If they bind me fast with new ropes that never were occupied, then shall I be weak, and be as another man.” And Delilah therefore took new ropes, and bound him therewith, and said unto him, “The Philistines be upon thee, Samson.” And there were liers in wait abiding in the chamber. And he brake them off his arms like a thread. And Delilah said unto Samson, “Hitherto thou hast mocked me, and told me lies; tell me wherewith thou mightiest be bound.” And he said unto her, “If thou weavest the seven locks of my head with the web.” And she fastened it with the pin, and said unto him, “The Philistines be upon thee, Samson.” And he awaked out of his sleep, and went away with the pin of the beam, and with the web. And she said unto him, “How canst thou say, ‘I love thee,’ when thine heart is not with me? Thou hast mocked me these three times, and hast not told me wherein thy great strength lieth.”
And it came to pass, when she pressed him daily with her words, and urged him, so that his soul was vexed unto death; That he told her all his heart, and said unto her, “There hath not come a razor upon mine head; for I have been a Nazarite unto God from my mother’s womb: if I be shaven, then my strength will go from me, and I will become weak, and be like any other man.” And when Delilah saw that he had told her all his heart, she sent and called for the lords of the Philistines, saying, “Come up this once, for he hath shewed me all his heart.” Then the lords of the Philistines came up unto her and brought money in their hand.
The enemy came up after the promise but Samson repented and shaved his head. Samson lost his strength, and they threw him into prison. While in prison his enemy didn’t notice that his hair had begun to grow back. As his hair grew, so did his strength. They blinded his eyes to do as much damage as they could.
The tests of your house may have died during COVID-19, but you can take the hand of the young seers and allow them to guide you. You can yet accomplish your goals because as Overseer Sylvette McKenzie puts it, “The Ark of the Covenant Has Returned to the House!” As much as you love the people who come into your house and your life, never give them all the keys to your strength. They may give it to your enemy and try to destroy you and your ministry. If you have already given them the key, remember, you have an advocate at the right hand of the Father. He sees and knows all. No weapon formed against you shall prosper. I encourage you in this hour to never give up on the vision God has given you and your ministry. If you do it His way, He will do it His way! Keep the oil flowing.
